March 4th - 6th Activities
1. Open the attached "challenge" word document.
2. Analyze the graph and answer the questions by typing your response into the document.

3. When finished, save your edited version of this document onto the desktop using the same format for file names used last week (p#firstnamelastinitialdate - for example p1lisav304)

4. Open your wikipage, edit, upload the document for me to review later.

5. When you are finished with the "challenge", explore the Earth Floor Biomes link. Earth Floor Biomes

6. Pay particular attention to the 7 different parts of a climograph. Also, be sure to study the climographs for each of the 6 different biomes presented.

7. Once you are finished exploring the link, post a reply to this page's discussion by selecting: discussion tab, "Earth Floor Biomes". IMPORTANT - do not start a new post, RESPOND to the post authored by lisavangorden.

8. When finished responding to the discussion in #7, please visit and explore the "Interactive Biome Map" link. Interactive Climate Maps

9. Select 1 of the 15 locations around the world to analyze. Return to YOUR page of the wiki, select the discussion tab, and create a NEW post. In your post, respond to the following:

  • In the post title, record the name of the location you have selected
  • Identify the type of biome you think this climograph is representing
  • Use the climograph to discuss what type of clothing and accessories you would pack if were taking a vacation to this location during the month of June.
  • Please note - each of these climographs is created using the metric units of mm for precipitation and Celsius for temperature. See the side board for some common conversions.
